Is it time?
I have been thinking that it will be time soon. I have been feeling that pull back to a more serious approach to training and competing over the past months. My professional life has just taken over this last 6 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed it, however maybe the scale tipped a little too far one way (as it has the other way in the past). At the beginning of the year I had a few dates in mind to "get serious" again, after a few months it was obvious that these dates would all pass and I needed to be doing something else. I have had a very happy year, and only now do I feel the pull back.....
After a few weeks of consideration and gradually making small adjustments (interesting at Xmas time), I believe I am ready to test the waters again. I had a serious calf injury in late October and have only now recovered - my body telling me I wasn't quite ready??
So I have a competition, a date and a realistic desire. I need to do some serious work in the gym and on my nutrition and I don't know how I will perform as I have been out of competition condition for 14 months.
The Crossfit Games QLD sectionals is about 9 1/2 weeks away, and I need a top 20 finish to progress to the next round in May.
Lets' go into the unknown.

All the best with your new goals for 2010 Lisa. It will be interesting to see how you progress and I look forward to watching from the sidelines. You seem to have taken on CF with real finesse and gusto, so I think you're really going to smash it next year! :)
Hi Lisa,
well as you probably know, I didn't do any of the events I planned to do in 2009! But I reckon things happen for a reason and it's nice to see you blogging and some competitive mojo coming back. We can't do everything at once and you rightly gave your time to developing your career.
xoxox
It's always time Lisa - time for YOU is most important and as you say - it has been career time over the past few months - a shift toward competing time is a given for you - and I will be there screaming my guts up for you x catch up real soon a MUST! xo
So today's WOD was a 10km run....the last 2 kms were so painful, but I guess the calf is better :-)
